Paris Saint-Germain thrash Real Madrid to set up Club World Cup final clash against Chelsea.

PSG continued their trend of rampant goal margins against big teams, with Real Madrid being the latest victims, losing 4-0 to the French champions.

Parisien sealed the tie in the first-half with a 3-0 scoreline before adding a cherry on the cake in the second half to book a date in the final against Chelsea.

Key match details

PSG had a fast start, forcing multiple defensive actions from Real Madrid in the early exchanges. The French champions would not be denied for too long, as a Raul Asencio blunder led to the first goal.

Ousmane Dembele was fouled by Thibaut Courtois, but the former Barcelona star had the presence of mind to poke the ball to Fabian Ruiz, who slotted home the rebound. Three minutes later, Antonio Rudiger's misplaced pass allowed Dembele to score again with a clinical finish.

PSG's confidence grew, and Achraf Hakimi's long-range shot narrowly missed the target. The third came soon, when  Hakimi played a pinpoint pass to Ruiz, who scored his second goal of the match. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had a chance to extend PSG's lead before halftime but fired wide.

After the break, PSG continued to dominate, and Desire Doue's goal was narrowly ruled out for offside. Real Madrid showed some signs of improvement, but Gianluigi Donnarumma was largely untroubled. Kylian Mbappe's long-range shot sailed over the bar, and PSG's fourth goal seemed imminent when Gonçalo Ramos fired wide from a tight angle.

In the final minutes, Eder Militão had a chance to salvage some pride for Real Madrid, but PSG sealed the win with a fourth goal. Bradley Barcola's clever footwork set up Ramos, who coolly slotted the ball past Courtois. PSG will now play Chelsea in the final, after the Blues best Fluminense to advance to the championship match.
