Real Madrid will head to London for the Champions League final on Thursday, but one player won't be joining them on the trip.

Real Madrid are aiming to secure their 15th Champions League title as they take on Borussia Dortmund at Wembley on Saturday night.

According to The Sun, goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will be traveling to London alone due to a bout of flu he experienced earlier this week.

Lunin performed admirably throughout the season in place of the injured Thibaut Courtois and played a crucial role in the penalty shootout victory over Manchester City in the quarter-finals.

The rest of the Madrid squad will arrive in the English capital on Thursday, while Marca reports that Lunin will arrive either on Friday or Saturday to minimize the risk of spreading his illness.

Courtois returned to action at the beginning of the month, leaving Ancelotti with a dilemma ahead of the final.

The Madrid boss said:

"They both deserve to play. Lunin, because he did a fantastic season, and Courtois, because he is back from his injury and everyone knows his quality."
