Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele talks about his Barcelona future and reports that linked him with Paris Saint-Germain.

Barcelona ace Ousmane Dembele has dispelled the rumours linking him with a move to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The France international signed a contract extension with Barcelona last season after a protracted and sometimes acrimonious negotiation period.

However, the contract is for only two seasons, and his release clause will reportedly drop to €50 million until the end of July, igniting rumours of a future outside of Barcelona.

The player has now come out to set the record straight, claiming he is happy at the club and wants to continue.

What Dembele said

The former Rennes winger spoke in an interview with Spanish publication Marca when he was questioned about his future and the links to PSG.

He rubbished the PSG talks, claiming them to be baseless, before revealing he is currently in contract negotiations with the LALIGA champions.

Dembele told the outlet that he wants to continue at Barcelona, and his agent is in negotiations over a new four-year contract extension.

“It goes very well. Barcelona wants me to renew until 2027, my representative will talk to them. I am happy in the team, also at home, in Barcelona. We'll see what happens with the theme,” he said.

“I don't know why there is so much talk about PSG. It must be because he is French, but there was and is nothing with PSG.
