Nottingham Forest have reportedly identified the perfect replacement for Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked after their defeat to Chelsea.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the club has approached Roberto Mancini as a leading contender to replace Ange, who was dismissed after failing to win any of his eight Premier League games.

Forest have reportedly held conversations with the 60-year-old Italian, whose impressive CV includes famously guiding Manchester City to FA Cup success in 2011 and a maiden Premier League title 12 months later.
For a club flirting with relegation, Mancini’s experience carries undeniable weight. He also led Italy to Euro 2020 glory, even if his later stint with the national team ended poorly.
.Postecoglou’s brief reign unravelled in an atmosphere of hostility, with chants of “sacked in the morning” becoming routine.
The 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea ultimately sealed his fate. Former Burnley boss Sean Dyche has also held talks for the now vacant role, although nothing has been agreed.
