Aurelio De Laurentiis lent credence to the Antonio Conte exit rumours with his strange question during their trophy celebrations.
Napoli are set to lose another trophy-winning manager immediately after a Scudetto triumph, as Antonio Conte will reportedly leave the club this summer.
The Italian tactician won his sixth Serie A title and Napoli’s fourth after beating Cagliari 2-0 to pip Inter to the title. Still, it has been reported that he would be leaving the club.

Conte on his way out
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte’s relationship with Aurelio de Laurentiis is fractious, and he is expected to leave the club, despite having a contract until 2027.
Laurentiis also saw his title-winning manager, Luciano Spalletti, leave after winning the league, also due to a breakdown in their relationship.
Conte has been linked with a move to Juventus, and Napoli are already looking forward, having presented Max Allegri with a two-year contract with an annual salary of €6 million plus performance-related bonuses.

What De Laurentiis said
The Napoli president all but confirmed Conte’s exit during the trophy celebrations, saying, “You are great, boss. You’re not going to Juve, are you?”
Conte laughed but did not reply, and ADL continued, saying, “Let us enjoy the party. Antonio, all we can do is care for you, nothing more.”
De Laurentiis, in an interview with TG1, per Yahoo Sports, after the trophy celebrations, spoke more on the issue: “At a wedding, nobody asks if the husband or wife will cheat on their spouse. They each just hope the other will be respectful and stick with the agreements made. I think someone needs to be happy in his environment, and if he is not and the atmosphere suffers because of it, he must change scenery.”
“This is what happened with Luciano Spalletti. There is reciprocal respect with Conte, great professionalism, and I thank him because this is what we’ve been lacking for two years.”
