Ademola Lookman: Ex-Chelsea boss keen to add CAF Player of the Year to champions' attack

Ademola Lookman could be on his way to Napoli as the club looks to strengthen its attack for the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League campaign.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Partenopei view the 27-year-old Atalanta forward as a prime replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain midway through last season.

Fresh off a Scudetto triumph under Antonio Conte, Napoli have already made a splash by signing Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer from Manchester City.

Now, they’re targeting Lookman, and are preparing a €50 million bid, though Atalanta are holding firm, seeking over €60 million for the Nigerian star amid interest from across Europe.

The former Everton winger appears open to a summer move, with sources indicating he’s eager to leave Atalanta for a new challenge, especially as his contract expires in 2026.

Meanwhile, Spanish giants Barcelona are also interested in signing the former Everton man, with reports suggesting manager Hansi Flick has made a personal request for the winger.

The Blaugrana are looking for cost-effective attacking reinforcements and view the Nigerian as an excellent addition.

Lookman scored 20 goals for Atalanta last season and has established himself as one of the world's most talented forwards.
