Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has reportedly told the club to land his preferred attacking target this summer.

Champions League finalists Barcelona are reportedly in the market for attacking reinforcements this summer as they search for even more depth in the final third.

According to reports, manager Hansi Flick has advised the club to sign Atalanta and Nigeria winger Ademola Lookman, highlighting his talent and versatility as key attributes for the attack.

Lookman scored 20 goals in 40 appearances last season, establishing himself as one of Europe's finest attackers.

Lookman scored 15 goals in the Serie A and 5 in the UCL this season.

The report claims Flick is fully aware of Barcelona’s financial restrictions and wants players who bring immediate value to the team without requiring the club to overspend.

Lookman fits the bill perfectly and is expected to cost around €30 million as he enters the last year of his contract at Atalanta.

The 28-year-old is likely to leave the club this summer as both parties accept there is no chance of a renewal, and Barcelona could be an excellent landing spot for a player who has shone on the biggest stage, for club and country.

Barcelona need a more dynamic forward, as Robert Lewandowski turns 37, and Ansu Fati is expected to leave the club this summer.

Instead of targeting high-cost names, who would put extra strain on the club’s finances, Barcelona see Lookman as a cost-effective and strategic solution.
