Sha'Carri Richardson confirms July dates for major milestones
American sprint queen Sha'Carri Richardson has confirmed her availability for important competition meets in July, which will mark major milestones.
The former world champion, who has been in the news this year for good and bad reasons, will be gunning to put behind her rollercoaster start to the year by aiming for a return to the top of the women's sprint division when the outdoor season begins.
On her path to achieving this, Richardson will have to win two vital competitions in July: the USATF Outdoor Championships and the Athlos League.
Following recent announcement that for the first time, the 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor & Para National Championships will now be held at the Icahn Stadium in New York, instead of the regular venue in Eugene, Richardson confirmed her readiness to not just race but reclaim the 100m title she lost to her training partner Melissa Jefferson-Wooden last year.

She also confirmed her participation in the inaugural Athlos League, where she's one of the three athlete advisor owners.
"First trials, then Athlos. Let's go," wrote Richardson as a caption to a shared post on her Instagram story.
With the 2026 season still in its early stages, the Olympic 100m silver medallist will officially kick off her season outdoors, although she's yet to announce where she'll run her first race of the year.
