Amid the Negreira scandal, Barcelona have revealed the special Rosalia logo kits for El Clasico this March.

El Clásico is already around the corner and the eternal rivalry between Spanish giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is set to take centre stage in LaLiga once more.

Barcelona will host Real Madrid this Sunday, March 19 at the Spotify Camp Nou.

In honour of the one-year anniversary of Spanish pop star Rosalía’s smash hit album MOTOMAMI, the Catalan giants will don special Nike kits featuring the album’s signature logo, courtesy of their partnership with Music Streaming giants Spotify.

And on Saturday, March 25, the women’s team Barcelona Femení will wear the kits for their own Clásico throwdown against Real Madrid Femenino.

“We’re honored to give up our space on the FC Barcelona shirt to celebrate Rosalía — the most streamed Spanish artist on Spotify in 2022,” Marc Hazan, VP of Partnerships at Spotify, said.

“ It’s a chance to continue the celebration of our unique partnership with FC Barcelona and continue to bring the worlds of football and music together.”

The special custom logo kits follows Drake’s iconic OVO owl logo featuring across their shirts for the previous Clásico matchup in October as part of their major sponsorship deal with Spotify.

In addition to being the most-streamed female artist among Spotify users in Barcelona, Rosalía is the platform’s No. 1 most-streamed Spanish artist among all users worldwide.

Barcelona lost the reverse fixture earlier in the season, but will be hoping to put things right once more against the European champions, having already defeated Los Blancos to lift the SuperCopa Espana trophy.

Barcelona-Negreira Saga

This news comes amid the ongoing Negreira case.

Barcelona are currently accused of paying for their players to be briefed on how to deal with individual referees.

It is alleged that between 2016 and 2018, the club paid Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira to tell their players how to behave with each individual referee to give them the best chance of favourable treatment.

The case which is currently under investigation is the latest in the lineup of issues that have rocked the Blaugrana in the last three seasons.
