The Glazer family are reportedly expecting to receive multiple bids for Manchester United ahead of the Friday deadline.

Manchester United owners, the Glazer family, decided last November, that they would be willing to listen to offers to sell the club.

They proceeded to appoint Raine group, a US investment bank to oversee the sale as well as set a soft deadline for interested parties to submit any formal offers.

Glazers expecting bids imminently

The Glazer family completed full takeover of the Red Devils in 2005 and for the 17 years since, United fans have been dissatisfied with their leadership and ownership model.

There have been numerous fan protests over the years, coupled with disappointment and lack of silverware on the pitch, all of which culminated in the Glazers announcing in November last year that they would consider a full sale and are now awaiting potential bids.

Potential buyers for Manchester United

At the moment there are only a handful of interested bidders who have made their intentions known to the public, including Sir Jim Ratcliffe and a Qatari based investment group.

According to the Daily Mail, there could be other bids arriving this week ahead of the deadline.

The price point could become an issue though as it is believed the Glazers are looking for a price of around £6bn, a figure that seems higher than what interested parties have valued the club at so far.

There is a belief however, that a sale could be completed before the end of the current Premier League campaign in May.

Manchester United's immediate focus though is on the heavyweight clash against Barcelona in the Uefa Europa League round of 16 first leg tie at the Camp Nou stadium in Spain.
