Chris Hughton appointed Black Stars new head coach

The Ghana Football Association has appointed Chris Hughton as the new head coach of the Black Stars following extensive deliberations between the two parties.

The decision to appoint Hughton comes following the resignation of Otto Addo as the team’s head coach after Ghana’s exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Chris Hughton has been appointed Ghana new head coach

The appointment of the former Brighton boss Chris Hughton is in line with the vision of the Ghana Football Association to continue with the project of building a formidable squad. One that began with Otto Addo in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament.

Hughton has been the Technical Advisor of the Black Stars for the past twelve months.

The GFA has also decided to maintain Assistant Coaches George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.

A statement on the FA’s website read:

 â€œThe Ghana Football Association has the pleasure to appoint Chris Hughton as Head Coach of the Black Stars following extensive deliberations between the two parties.

Details about the duration of the contract and terms of engagement would be announced in due course.
