Ijebu's Anthony Joshua and Edo man Deontay Wilder still have 1 more thing to solve before they fight in December.

British boxer of Nigerian descent Anthony Joshua and Edo man Deontay Wilder are facing obstacles ahead of a potential fight in December.

Eddie Hearn, a British sports promoter, has made a suggestion on what would be the sole potential roadblock to Anthony Joshua's plans to take on Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia later this year.

The proposal from Skill Challenge Entertainment is unlikely to be financially prohibitive, and both Joshua's and Wilder's camps have publicly expressed a desire for the bout to take place soon.

Joshua's broadcasting rights agreement with DAZN must be honored, according to Hearn, who recently said in an interview with IFL TV that he was still sure the historic cross-Atlantic match will take place.

The oil-rich nation hosted Joshua's triumphant rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. back in 2019 as well as his loss to Oleksandr Usyk last summer, so the fighter is obviously no stranger to boxing in Saudi Arabia.

Even if they are unable to reach an agreement for an undisputed fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk to take place on the same event, it looks like Skill Challenge Entertainment remains adamant about hosting Joshua against Wilder.
