Anthony Joshua shares social media post to support family of his two close friends after fatal car crash in Nigeria
The boxer was involved in the tragic incident on Monday, December 29, on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, which resulted in the deaths of his friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.
Joshua himself sustained minor injuries and was later discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve.
The 36-year-old fighter returned to the United Kingdom on Saturday. On Sunday, he broke his silence with a heartfelt post across his social media platforms.
Joshua shares emotional picture
Joshua shared a poignant photo of himself standing in solidarity with the families of Ghami and Ayodele, accompanied by the simple caption, “My Brother’s Keeper ❤️🕊️❤️.”
The image conveyed a message of support to the family of the deceased and unity during a time of immense grief.
The two men were scheduled to be laid to rest on Sunday. Reports indicate the accident happened when the SUV carrying Joshua and three others collided with a stationary truck, allegedly due to brake failure. Joshua had recently arrived in Nigeria for a holiday after his knockout victory over Jake Paul.

Sources suggest that Joshua narrowly avoided more severe injury by moving from the front passenger seat to the back just moments before the collision.
The driver had reportedly asked him to move because his large frame was obstructing the side mirror view.
While Joshua suffered a leg fracture, his condition was described as stable and did not require emergency surgery.
