Precious Achiuwa shines as Toronto Raptors shock Miami Heat

The Toronto Raptors recorded a 106-92 victory against the Miami Heat in an Eastern Conference match-up that took place in the early hours of Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Nigerian professional basketball player Precious Achiuwa played an outstanding game against his former side.

The 23-year-old was traded from the Heat to the Raptors last season and continues to play well whenever they match up.

Achiuwa came off the bench to put up 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block in 25 minutes of action.

The Nigerian made five of his 10 shots, was two of five from three to condemn his former side to defeat.

American professional basketball player of Nigerian descent Femi "Bam" Adebayo put up big numbers for the Heat against the Raptors.

Battling against Achiuwa, Adebayo was in the starting lineup for the Heat.

He contributed 21 points, grabbed 12 rebounds four assists, and one steal.

Adebayo struggled with his efficiency making just seven of his 18 shots but was seven of eight from the free throw line.

Nigerian-American professional basketball player Gabriel Nnamdi Vincent retained his spot in the starting lineup.

In 19 minutes of action, he was only able to contribute two points, two rebounds, one assists, one steal, and one block.

He struggled from the field making just one of his five shots and could not hit from three-point range.

The Miami Heat squandered the opportunity to move past the Brooklyn Nets in the standings.

The Heat returned to action against the New York Knicks on a second night of a back-to-back.
