John Cena stood tall amidst chaos in Riyadh, fending off CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and a flurry of interference to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions 2025. Here's a recap of what went down at the Kingdom Arena.

In a main event filled with chaos, controversy, and carnage, John Cena successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against longtime rival CM Punk in Riyadh at the 2025 Night of Champions.

The 17-time world champion once again defied Father Time and the backstage politics of WWE, escaping a high-stakes battle that nearly saw Seth Rollins walk out with the title.

The closing moments of the match were pure anarchy.

Rollins, who recently won Money in the Bank – stormed the ring after Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker softened up both Cena and Punk.

Just when it appeared he’d cash in, Penta and Sami Zayn intervened, neutralising the heavy hitters.

Still, Rollins nailed Punk with his signature briefcase.

Cena capitalised, tossing Rollins over the ropes and pinning Punk after a Stomp delivered not by him, but by Seth.

While the win was controversial, the record books will show: Cena retains the title.

Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill ascend the thrones

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill stood tall as the respective King and Queen of the Ring, each securing a coveted future world title shot.

Rhodes overcame former mentor Randy Orton with a thunderous Cross Rhodes that sent shockwaves through the Kingdom Arena.

Cody’s moment of triumph felt like a coronation in every sense.

On the women’s side, Cargill’s victory over Asuka was no less impressive.

After months of near misses, the powerhouse finally broke through with a dominant performance to claim the Queen’s crown.

The win firmly establishes her as a major force in WWE’s women’s division.

Shocks, surprises, and a ohh..there's a new US champion

One of the most surprising moments of the night came during the United States Championship bout.

Solo Sikoa, representing The Bloodline’s next chapter, defeated reigning champion Jacob Fatu with a brutal Samoan Spike.

This victory, to many, sort of signals a new era for the mid-card title and reaffirms Sikoa’s dangerous solo credentials.

Elsewhere, Sami Zayn earned a hard-fought shock-win over Karrion Kross, surviving a punishing match to land the Helluva Kick.

Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley outlasted Raquel Rodriguez in a wild Riyadh Boulevard Street Fight, finishing things off with a jaw-dropping super Riptide through a table.
