Super Falcons of Nigeria star Michelle Alozie was the hero as the Houston Dash secured a 2-1 victory over NJ/NY Gotham FC in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
Alozie was on the bench for the match and ended up being the winner.

The match began with Gotham taking an early lead when Gonzalez Rodriguez scored in the 9th minute.
However, the second half saw the Houston Dash fight back, with an own goal by Gotham's Emily Sonnett levelling the score.
The equaliser injected new life into the Dash, setting the stage for a tense finish.
Michelle Alozie was introduced as a substitute for Allysha Chapman in the 84th minute.

In the 93rd minute, Alozie unleashed a thunderous shot that rocketed past Gotham's defence.
The goal put the Dash in front as they held on to secure the victory.
It was Alozie's first goal for the Houston Dash since she returned from winning the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with Nigeria.
At the tournament, Alozie scored a massive goal for Nigeria in the semifinal win against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
Alozie continues to show her versatility being able to play as a defender or forward.
