The Super Falcons had a flying start as a cross by Babajide was converted by Oshoala to take the lead as early as the fourth minute.

After the cooling break, the Super Falcons continued their dominance with Babajide getting the second in the 45th minute.
Ashleigh Plumptre put the ball in the back of the net but was ruled out by VAR as the Super Falcons went to the break with a 2-0 lead.

At the halftime break, Babajide was taken off for Chinwendu Ihezuo.
Asisat Oshoala was also taken off for Esther Okoronkwo.
Tunisia were awarded a penalty but after review by VAR it was canceled
Later in the game, Toni Payne was also taken off for Folashade Ijamilusi
The third goal would come in the 84th minute when Ihezuo converted a ball by Okoronkwo.
Halimatu Ayinde also came off for Jennifer Echegini late in the game.
The Super Falcons would hold on to register three points to start the tournament.
The team returns to action when they take on Botswana in their second group game scheduled for Thursday, July 10, 2025.
