Morocco defeated the Black Queens of Ghana to win on penalties and set up a WAFCON final against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Morocco defeated the Black Queens of Ghana to go through to the final of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The teams played out a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes and extra time as they headed to a penalty shoot out.

In the second half, Morocco showed urgency and were able to get back in the game.

In the shoot out, Morocco converted all four while Ghana missed their final two.

Morocco thereby advance to the WAFCON final where they will play the Super Falcons of Nigeria who defeated South Africa 2-1 in the other semifinal.

It is a rematch of the last semifinal when Nigeria takes on Morocco while the Black Queens take on the Banyana Banyana of South Africa for third place.
