Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has officially ended his chapter with Napoli, confirming his permanent transfer to Turkish giants Galatasaray after a highly successful spell in Italy.
What Osimhen said
The 25-year-old expressed his appreciation to the Naples-based club on Instagram.
“Grazie per tutto” — Thank you for everything, he posted alongside a series of nostalgic photos capturing unforgettable moments at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Osimhen leaves as a club legend, having played an important role in Napoli’s historic 2022-23 Serie A title, the club’s first Scudetto in 33 years, since the iconic Maradona era.
That season, he also clinched the Capocannoniere (Serie A Top Scorer) award, cementing his status among the elite in Italian football.
Over four seasons with the Partenopei (2020–2024), Osimhen scored 76 goals in 133 appearances, earning the admiration of fans and teammates alike.
A record loan, now permanent
During the 2024–25 season, Osimhen was loaned to Galatasaray, where he continued his sensational form with 37 goals in 41 matches across all competitions.
His performances helped the Turkish side clinch domestic silverware and reestablish themselves as a European force, prompting the club to make his move permanent this summer.
