Braga played host to Porto at the Braga Municipal as they looked to leapfrog their opponents on the league table. They had the bulk of the ball, but Porto had the clearer chances in an even game.

How it happened

The hosts started with purpose and went close to scoring in the 17th minute when Abel Ruiz beat his marker and released a shot, but it was stopped by Diogo Costa.

Porto played their way into the game and had a chance of their own when Evanilson was put through on goal, but Matheus Magalhaes was up to the task.

The first-half continued in this vein, with both teams exchanging chances but neither finding the back of the net. However, in the 33rd minute of the game, left-back Wendell received a yellow card, prompting a half-time substitution. Zaidu Sanusi came on for the Brazillian.
