Why I did not pass to Mbappe against Stuttgart — 18-year old Endrick breaks silence
Real Madrid opened their UEFA Champions League season with a 3-1 win over Bundesliga side Stuttgart at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night.
Los Blancos opened the scoring thanks to summer signing Kylian Mbappe before Deniz Undav equalised for the Germans.
The holders were far from their best and had to wait until the 83rd minute to take the lead, thanks to ex-Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, before teenage substitute Endrick sealed the win.

After the game, he was asked about the choice to go by himself. He replied:
“I knew I had Kylian and Vini, but at that moment the best option was to shoot.”
Endrick will hope to play a bigger role in Carlo Ancelotti's plans in the future, starting with this weekend's clash against Espanyol.
