What's brewing? Noah Lyles makes major change on his social media page after surprising announcement
World and Olympic champion Noah Lyles has fans curious on what's brewing after the American track star made a major change on his Instagram page following a surprise announcement.
The world's fastest man surprised track and field fans by announcing his return to competitive racing at the Monaco Diamond League on Friday, July 11, where he is set to race in his trademark event - the 200m, facing his notable rival, Letsile Tebogo.
Lyles, who last competed in the 400m and 4x100m on April 19th, before withdrawing from the Adidas Atlanta City Games in May due to a sustained injury, will finally hope to get his season rolling in the French city.
He has been off posting on his social media pages for a few weeks before his track return post, which included a series of slides in training using vintage colour formats.
Also noticeable was that Lyles deleted all his Instagram posts, including those with his fiancée, Junelle Bromfield.
These actions have sparked speculation about their meaning, as this is his first time acting in this way.
Nonetheless, Lyles will be gunning to have a good outing in Monaco, considering he's just returning from an injury and may still be rusty. So, clocking a respectable fast time and position finish will surely build his confidence in his subsequent races, with full focus on defending his world titles in Tokyo.
