Manchester United's Weghorst on the move?

A few eyebrows were raised when Erik ten Hag made the move to bring the Dutch striker in January, with United paying ÂŁ2.5million in compensation to cut Weghorst's season-long loan with Besiktas short.

The 30-year-old has surprisingly featured regularly under Ten Hag but he has failed to make any real impression, with just two goals in 25 matches.

Despite Weghorst's desire to remain at Manchester United beyond the summer, there has been no effort by the club to turn his loan into a permanent move.

According to The Telegraph, Weghorst is now likely to return to Burnley at the end of the season with Ten Hag once again stressing the club's need to sign a striker.

United keen on Harry Kane

Manchester United's top summer target is believed to be England captain Harry Kane, who is set to enter the final year of his contract with Tottenham.

However, a deal for the Spurs talisman would still set Manchester United back around ÂŁ100million - if they can convince club chairman Daniel Levy to play ball.
