The victory over the Reds has reignited their campaign after losing their first UCL game with a heavy defeat against Frankfurt.

Osimhen wants to make history

After his match-winning effort, Osimhen expressed his desire to build on the result and lead the team deep into the competition.

"This is the biggest competition in the world and we want to go far," Osimhen said, on X. "We really have the quality to make sure that we achieve this objective."

"It's not going to be easy; we have to take each game as it comes. We still have some games coming, and we will be ready. We'll try to give our all to ensure that we make history with this club."

Osimhen's comments signal a clear intent to guide Galatasaray to a memorable Champions League run this season.
