‘We will be ready’ - Osimhen ready to make history with Galatasaray after winning goal against Liverpool

The decisive moment came from Osimhen, who converted a penalty to seal the three points for his side, earning him the Man of the Match award.

The victory over the Reds has reignited their campaign after losing their first UCL game with a heavy defeat against Frankfurt.

After his match-winning effort, Osimhen expressed his desire to build on the result and lead the team deep into the competition.

"This is the biggest competition in the world and we want to go far," Osimhen said, on X. "We really have the quality to make sure that we achieve this objective."

"It's not going to be easy; we have to take each game as it comes. We still have some games coming, and we will be ready. We'll try to give our all to ensure that we make history with this club."

Osimhen's comments signal a clear intent to guide Galatasaray to a memorable Champions League run this season.

The club has not advanced past the quarterfinals since the turn of the century, but this season could offer a chance to change that.
