Man United legend Rio Ferdinand has urged the club to prioritise signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, highlighting him as the ideal solution to the Red Devils’ attacking struggles under manager Ruben Amorim.

However, Ferdinand believes that Osimhen’s experience and proven goal-scoring record make him a more suitable choice for the club's immediate needs.

Osimhen has been in sensational form this season, scoring 28 goals and providing five assists in 32 matches while on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.

His impressive performances have solidified his reputation as one of the world’s top strikers, making him one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.

“I want someone who knows their way around the football pitch at the elite level and knows how to score at the elite level consistently. Osimhen’s done that. I want that here and now. Yes, Osimhen hasn’t played in the Premier League, but I don’t care. I think he scores wherever he goes.”

However, securing Osimhen could prove challenging for Manchester United. Napoli reportedly values the 26-year-old striker at over £70 million, which is significantly higher than the potential cost of signing Delap.
