The Super Eagles reached the final of AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast but are now setting their sights on going a step further in Morocco.
Iwobi is the most experienced player in the current national squad with 91 caps, having featured in three separate AFCON tournaments, and will be one of the first names on Eric Chelle's team sheet in Morocco.
Nigeria's focus has shifted to the continental tournament after a heartbreaking penalty shootout loss to the Democratic Republic of Congo ended their 2026 World Cup qualification hopes.

Despite the recent setback, Iwobi believes the team possesses the quality needed to secure a fourth AFCON title for the nation.
"We were really close the last AFCON, but the only way we can improve on that is to win it," Iwobi told AySuga Channel. "We have the players to do it, we believe we can, we just have to prove it."
The tournament is expected to be highly competitive, with reigning champions Ivory Coast and host nation Morocco joining Nigeria as leading contenders for the trophy.
Expressing his optimism, Iwobi shared a hopeful message ahead of the competition.
"I would like to speak it into existence, I like to manifest," he said. "I want to say Nigeria will win the AFCON."
