'We have the feeling' — Fulham boss backs Chukwueze to make big impact for Fulham
Marco Silva has strongly hinted that Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze could soon be handed his first Premier League start for the Cottagers ahead of their clash against Everton this weekend.
Chukwueze, who joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan during the summer transfer window, has endured a difficult start to life in England, primarily due to fitness issues that have limited his impact.
The 26-year-old has featured in four matches off the bench since arriving at Craven Cottage, registering a single assist in Fulham's 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
Marco Silva backs Chukwueze to make impact
Speaking at his pre-match conference, Silva expressed confidence in Chukwueze's ability to influence games when fully fit and suggested his moment to shine is imminent.
Addressing the tactical flexibility of his squad, Silva said of Kevin playing on the left side against Wolves, as quoted by the BBC: "It was first half for him in the Premier League, but he's played in the Carabao Cup too.
"The moment [to start] will arrive for [Samuel] Chukwueze too. We're feeling he can have an impact for us. It was the moment for Kevin [to start on the left], to play [Alex] Iwobi more inside. Chukwueze can do it there too."
Chukwueze, who is desperate to put an inconsistent spell at AC Milan behind him, will be eager to rediscover his best form and nail down a starting spot in the Cottagers strongest XI.
