Oliseh disclosed that the team frequently struggled with a lack of basic training equipment, most notably, insufficient kits.

According to Oliseh, some Super Eagles training sessions had to be delayed simply because there were not enough jerseys available for the players.

He explained that players often washed their training kits after morning sessions and the team had to wait for them to dry before resuming training later in the day.

“When I was coaching the Super Eagles, sometimes I had to take the boys to training but we couldn’t go at the said time because we had to wait for the clothes they used in the morning to dry up,” Oliseh said.

Appointed Super Eagles coach in 2015, Oliseh inherited a team rich in talent but plagued by off-field issues. Despite these limitations, he guided Nigeria through qualification for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and recorded several respectable performances during his tenure.
