Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers expressed his delight at witnessing Ademola Lookman's outstanding performance against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night. Lookman thrilled fans at the Aviva Stadium with a fantastic hat-trick during the Europa League final.
Rodgers previously worked with Lookman at Leicester City during the 2021/22 season, where the winger scored eight goals in 42 appearances during his loan spell.
The Super Eagles forward has been in red-hot form this season, with 15 goals and 8 assists in all competitions.
Brendan Rodgers hails Ademola Lookman after hat-trick
“What a professional he is, how he looks after himself, the extra work he does in training,” Rodgers told talkSPORT.
“Those goals that he scored, he practices those after training. He’d always do extra finishing.
“His professionalism was unbelievable and the only sad part for us was at the end of that season, we had a clause where we could have bought him for £14 million.”
