Watch: 'Emojong-Onana', KCCA fans label their young goalkeeper
KCCA FC fans that graced their club's day on Friday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo were left mesmerized and enchanted by their young goalkeeper Anthony Emojong.
Making his senior debut at KCCA as they beat Kenya's Kakamega Homeboys 2-0 in a friendly match, the youngster was the talk at full-time at Lugogo.
Anthony Emojong 'AKA' Onana'. He is just a joy to watch. Thank you @KCCAFC , @anishamuhoozi ,@Martin_Ssekajja . This is real @KCCAFC hard press, faster with kawowo and purpose football. @NBSportUg @NTV_Omumuli. @magero_moses thank you for tje day. #EkiriELugogo

Emojong, who only played 45 minutes, was likened to Manchester United new custodian Andre Onana because of the similarity in style.
Nerves of steel from Emojong 🦾

Many have already nicknamed him "Onana" 😅#KCCAFC | #KCCAFCDAY | #EkiriELugogo pic.twitter.com/EA5sfR7Jw8
His calmness on the ball, ability to make short and long-range passes and might to pass the ball under pressure led to the comparisons and metaphors.
Ono keeper onana 😂😂😂😂😂

He wasn't too bad with the primary goalkeeping role either, as he made a couple of decent saves against the Kenyans, despite his bijou size.

With every Emojong touch came loud cheers; with excitement, nervousness and anxiety in equal measure.

Emojong is a product of the club's junior team but spent last season at Lugazi FC as he helped them to fifth, keeping seven clean-sheets in 16 games. He conceded just five goals.
