WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo Serves Sadio Mane Cake as Al-Nassr Squad Celebrate AFCON Champion
Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates gave Sadio Mané a hero's welcome upon his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, celebrating Senegal's victory with a custom cake.
Mane led the Lions of Teranga to their second AFCON title in a dramatic and controversial final against host nation Morocco in Rabat on Sunday. The 33-year-old forward led his team to a 1-0 victory, secured by a Pape Gueye goal in the 94th minute of extra time.
The final was marred by a chaotic scene late in regular time when Morocco was awarded a contentious penalty, prompting the Senegalese team to walk off the pitch in protest. After a 17-minute delay, it was Mané who convinced his teammates to return and resume play.
The ensuing penalty kick saw Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz attempt a Panenka, which failed spectacularly as the ball floated directly into the hands of former Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who stood his ground.

Upon his return to Saudi Arabia on Friday, the former Liverpool star was greeted warmly by the Al-Nassr squad. Video footage captured Mané embracing his teammates before captain Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, presented him with a celebratory cake.
The cake was decorated with an image of the ex-Southampton winger holding the AFCON trophy and celebrating with his national team. It also featured the message: "Congratulations Senegal champion. Congratulations Sadio."
After taking a bite to the cheers of his clubmates, Mané expressed his gratitude, simply saying, "Thank you, guys."
Speaking to the club's media, the winger shared his appreciation for the gesture and confirmed his focus is now back on the Saudi Pro League season.
"Thank you guys, I’m really happy for the present. I didn’t expect this," Mané said. "That showed a warm welcome and I’m really, really happy about it. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season."
