Watch: Amputee AFCON final descend to chaos as Ghana, Morocco players exchange blows with crutches
It was a final to remember at the 2024 African Amputee Cup of Nations, but for all the wrong reasons, as Ghana and Morocco took their battle to the next level in a shocking post-match fight.
The two sides had put on an enthralling display on the pitch, with Ghana eventually emerging victorious in a hard-fought 2-1 win to book their place at the 2026 Amputee World Cup.

The drama, however, was far from over as the final whistle blew. Ugly scenes unfolded as players from both teams clashed and resorted to using their crutches as weapons, trading blows in an unsavoury melee per a video on social media.
Ghana had fought back from a goal down to clinch the trophy, with Mubarak Mohammed's stunning long-range strike levelling the scores before the Black Stars snatched a late winner.
But the post-match celebrations soon turned sour as tempers flared between the two sets of players.
Tournament organisers were left scrambling to restore order and set up the trophy presentation, as the two teams had to be pulled apart amid the chaos on the pitch.
Despite the ugly scenes, Ghana's triumph was a victory to savour, with coach Obeng being named the best of the tournament. Mubarak Mohammed was also voted the Player of the Tournament after his match-winning contribution in the final.
The 2024 African Amputee Cup of Nations will be remembered for the quality of football on display, but unfortunately also for the unsavoury scenes that marred the conclusion of a fiercely contested final.
