Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala delivered an outstanding individual performance on Thursday night, scoring twice for Al Hilal in a pulsating Saudi Women’s Premier League encounter against Al Ahli, which ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Despite Oshoala’s brace, Al Hilal were unable to secure maximum points after surrendering their lead on two occasions in an entertaining contest played at the Inaya Medical Colleges Stadium.
The Nigerian international’s latest goals take her season tally to 15 goals across all competitions, comprising eight league goals, six goals in the Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup, and one goal in the Saudi Women’s Cup.
She has also recorded three assists, bringing her total goal contributions this season to an impressive 18.
Oshoala sends warning to Ghana, Zambia ahead of WAFCON 2026
The former African Player of the Year will join other Super Falcons stars for the WAFU B Four-Nation Tournament in Abidjan as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The preparatory tournament will take place in Côte d’Ivoire between February 27 and March 7, ahead of WAFCON, scheduled for March 17 to April 3.
The WAFU B tournament will feature Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal. The Super Falcons were drawn in Group C with Egypt, Zambia, and Malawi for the WAFCON 2026.
