[VIDEO]: Shaqiri makes European football history after worldie against Scotland at Euro 2024
Xherdan Shaqiri netted a left-footed piledriver against Scotland to secure a 1-1 draw for Switzerland in their second Group A match at the European Championship.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring for Steve Clarke's men after a fast break in the 13th minute but Shaqiri notched a leveller close to the half-hour mark, and it stayed that way at RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne.
The former Liverpool and Bayern Munich man’s goal effectively sealed progress for Murat Yakin's men, who could still end top, second or even one of the best third-placed sides.
What record did Shaqiri create against Scotland at Euro 2024?
The 32-year-old’s goal saw him become the first European player to score in three consecutive World Cups and as many European Championship finals, with goals at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 global showpiece as well as the 2016, 2020 and 2024 Euros.
