VIDEO: Nedim Bajrami makes European Championship history with goal against Italy
Nedim Bajrami netted almost from the kickoff as Albania stunned defending European champions Italy after 23 seconds.
The attacking midfielder intercepted Federico Dimarco’s throw-in, went past Alessandro Bastoni and fired a powered effort into the roof of Gianluigi Donnarumma’s net.
Albania’s effort became the quickest goal recorded in the competition’s history, with Sylvinho's men doing the unthinkable at Signal Iduna Park.

Despite the effort, Luciano Spalletti’s troops swiftly responded with a leveller through Bastoni before Nicolo Barella turned the game around for Italy before the interlude.
