Victor Osimhen: Super Eagles striker named fourth best signing in 2024/25 season

Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been recognised as one of the top signings in the 2024/2025 season, coming out fourth among the best 15 transfers. 

This recognition comes as Osimhen continues to impress during his shock loan spell at Galatasaray from Napoli.

In a report by Goal, Osimhen's performance has been nothing short of spectacular, with the 25-year-old scoring 12 goals in 15 appearances and providing five assists across all competitions. 

Osimhen has scored some stunning goals, including a bicycle kick, with his scoring ability making him a key player for Galatasaray across the Super Lig and Europe.

Osimhen's ranking places him just behind Michael Olise (in third) and Kerem Akturkoglu (second), while Samu Aghehowa was rated as the best signing of the season so far. 

On the reason for his inclusion in the list, Goal highlighted Osimhen's impact, stating, "Predictably, he has been on fire in Turkey... but Gala will enjoy him while they have him." 

His impressive form has led to discussions about a potential move away from Galatasaray in January, with reports suggesting that Europe's elite are monitoring his situation closely. 

As speculation grows about his future amid interest from top European clubs and with the January transfer window close, Osimhen's future remains a topic of significant interest for football lovers.

Meanwhile, with his future a hot topic at the moment, Nigerian legend Taye Taiwo has added his voice to Osimhen’s stay in Turkey. 

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, the former defender believes that the striker must leave the Super Lig for one of Europe’s elites after his impressive performances in Turkey so far.

"Victor has returned to his best level and is ready to return to the major championships,”  Taiwo statet. “Several teams are looking to bolster their offence, and he should be at the top of their list.”
