Boniface wins again
The 22-year-old’s journey to securing the win has been nothing short of exceptional. With each passing game, he has showcased his skill and ability as one of the most complete forwards and players in the German league.
The Nigerian forward has now made the Rookie of the Month his own since he joined the Bundesliga outfit.
Despite not finding the net in the month in review, the recently capped Super Eagles star showed why he is Bayer Leverkusen’s contributor-in-chief with two assists to his name.
He inspired the 3-2 win over Hoffenheim and added 11 attempts in the month. Boniface was directly involved in a shot on goal every 18 minutes for the Bundesliga leaders, Leverkusen.
But that’s not all, the former Union Saint-Gilloise striker was also busy off the ball, with 52% of his duels won according to the Bundesliga website.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian is already in contention for a fifth nomination after a blistering start in December.
He opened his account for the festive period with a decisive equaliser to preserve Leverkusen's unbeaten run in a thrilling 1-1 draw against Bundesliga title rivals Borussia Dortmund.
