VAR denies Odion Ighalo 2 goals as Al Wehda held by Al Tai

There is news about Super Eagles of Nigeria legends Odion Ighalo in Saudi Arabia.

Following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and Asian Cup action resumed in the Saudi Arabia Professional League.

Ighalo was in the starting line as Al-Wehda took on Al Tai on Friday, February 16, 2024.

The first half ended without a goal despite several chances at both ends.

In the 66th minute, Ighalo had the ball in the back of the net but was ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Al Wehda would go in front in the 72nd minute through defender Jawd El Yamiq.

In the 86th minute, Ighalo put the ball in the net again but was ruled out by VAR.

In the eighth minute of additional time, Al Tai found an equalizer through Andrei Cordea.
