Chelsea are poised for a significant squad overhaul before the summer transfer window closes, with several players expected to depart.
The Blues have been busy in the market, securing high-profile signings including Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens. They are also close to completing a deal for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato and Leipzig star playmaker Xavi Simons.
According to talkSPORT, despite spending over £150 million, Chelsea have offset costs by generating approximately £132 million through player sales. Notable departures include Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, and Djordje Petrovic, with more exits likely.
Players such as Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, and Axel Disasi are reportedly being encouraged to leave.
Sterling was the first major signing following Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s takeover, but has been desperately underwhelming, and after a failed loan move to Arsenal last season, manager Enzo Maresca has no plans for him.
Nkunku is expected to fetch a decent return, and while there is interest from Germany, there is no significant offer yet.
