Ugandan quartet set for early battle in the Rwanda Super Cup

Up to four Ugandan players are awaiting action as the Federation of Rwanda Football Association confirmed the dates for the FERWAFA Super Cup.

The cup, a precursor to the Rwanda Premier League season, will be played between the country’s giants APR and Rayon Sports on Wednesday, 12th August, at the Kigali Pele Stadium.

APR won the 2022/23 Primus Rwanda Premier League season but went on to lose the Peace Cup to rivals Rayon Sports.

The army side recently added Uganda Cranes midfielder Lwanga Tadeo who is expected to make his official debut on the day.

Lwanga will face tough opposition against his fellow compatriots Charles Bbaale, Joachim Ojera, Musa Esenu and 2023 StarTimes Uganda Premier League best goalkeeper Simon Tamale.
