Diego Simeone delivered high praise to Arsenal, calling them the "best team" his side has encountered this season after the Gunners handed the Spanish club a devastating 4-0 defeat in their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
The LaLiga side successfully held Mikel Arteta's men to a goalless opening half at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Arsenal’s quality and relentless work rate broke through after the restart, with the home side scoring four times within a blistering 13-minute second-half spell.
The goals came from Gabriel Magalhaes, who headed in Declan Rice’s free-kick, followed by Gabriel Martinelli doubling the lead.
Striker Viktor Gyökeres then ended his goal drought with a quick brace, securing the dominant win and maintaining Arsenal's perfect start to the campaign.
