Two Beds, One Ring! Jeremy Doku, 23, shocks fans with unsual love story with 29 y/o wife-to-be Shireen Raymond

 Manchester City's dazzling winger, Jeremy Doku, has shared the intimate details of his proposal to his fiancée, Shireen Erin Lyannda Raymond.

The 23-year-old Belgian, known for his lightning pace on the pitch, showed a different, more personal side in the second episode of his new YouTube documentary. 

In the episode, Doku spoke candidly about his decision to get down on one knee for his 29-year-old girlfriend, admitting that while his family and her family were in on the secret, Shireen herself was completely unsuspecting.

 "It’s funny because we talk a lot," he said.

 "And I try to see if she expects something, but she really doesn’t expect anything." 

Doku, who was certain she would be shocked, admitted he didn't expect her to cry but was delighted by her tearful reaction.

 The couple, who jetted off to Dubai for a summer holiday, made their engagement official in June, with Shireen proudly showing off her stunning new ring on Instagram. 

The moment, which has been captured and shared across social media, has been met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans and teammates alike.

Shireen is understood to be a UK-based aesthetician.

However, what has truly captured the public's attention, is a surprising revelation from Doku about their relationship. 

The couple, despite their engagement, are not sleeping together in a traditional sense. 

In his documentary, the Man City star revealed that they asked for two separate beds during their holiday in Dubai.

 “No, we are not sleeping together yet,” Doku stated. 

"At the hotel in Dubai, we will sleep in the same room, but with separate beds." 

The winger recounted the amused reaction of the hotel staff, who initially thought it was a mistake.

"When arrived at the reception, they thought it was a mistake. But no, that's reality. We still don't sleep together," he added. 

This old-fashioned approach to their relationship, rooted in their shared Christian values, has been a talking point, with many fans commending the couple's respect for their beliefs.
