Turkish giants in battle with Premier League clubs to sign Super Eagles star
Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have reportedly entered discussions with Lazio over a possible transfer for Nigerian international midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
According to reports, the Turkish club has made initial contact with the Serie A outfit to understand the conditions of a potential deal for the highly rated 24-year-old, who continues to draw attention across Europe.
Lazio set €15–20m asking price
Lazio are believed to have placed a valuation of between €15 million and €20 million on Dele-Bashiru, reflecting both his growing importance and his long-term contract, which runs until June 2028.
While the midfielder’s current market value is estimated at around €6.5 million, Lazio’s higher price tag reportedly accounts for his versatility, athleticism, and the security provided by his extended deal.
Premier League interest grows
Trabzonspor are not alone in the pursuit of Dele-Bashiru. Nottingham Forest and Sunderland have also been linked with the Nigerian midfielder, with both English clubs reportedly closely monitoring his situation as his reputation continues to rise.
Negotiations are understood to be at a preliminary stage, with no formal bid or agreement reached so far. However, the growing list of suitors could soon force Lazio to decide whether to retain the midfielder or cash in should their valuation be met.
