Brentford forward Bryan Mbuemo has reportedly given Manchester United the greenlight for a move this summer amid interest from three other Premier League clubs.
The 25-year-old had a career-high 20 Premier League goals for a mid table Brentford this season, further cementing himself as one of the best footballers in the division. Hence, he has been linked with a number of clubs, with Manchester United now leading the race.
Mbuemo says yes
According to a report from the Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Cameroon international has decided that he wants a future at Old Trafford, and will listen to Manchester United's offer above others.
Per the report, he was also courted by Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, but he has chosen the Theatre of Dreams as his preferred destination.
Mbuemo has one year left on his Brentford contract, albeit with a club option to extend for a further year. The Bees are reportedly open to selling him this summer while they can still make a sizable profit from his sale.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €55 million, but the G Tech community stadium occupants could demand for a figure above that, given the high demand in Mbuemo’s talent.
