Belgian club KAA Gent have slapped a €50 million price tag on their prized forward Gift Orban after the striker’s recent form drummed up interest in him.
Orban attracting attention
Orban has scored nine goals in eight appearances since he joined Gent in January, including four in the 6-2 win over Zulte Wargerem in the Belgian Pro League.
He has also scored two goals in three games in the Europa League after netting in both legs of the UEFA Europa League round-of-16 tie against Qarabag, and his form both domestically and in Europe has put him in the limelight.

His exploits have also caught the eye of bigger European clubs, who have circled the striker ahead of a possible summer move.
Gent want €50 million for Orban
In response to this, Gent have set an asking price of €50 million for the Nigerian forward, hoping to stave off interest in their star striker.
Gent signed Orban for €3.3 million in January and have been reaping the rewards ever since. They hope to keep Orban for a long time, but failing to do that, they will be looking to make a healthy profit from the Nigerian forward.
The forward has already spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League, and any clubs willing to make his dream come true will have to come up with €50 million to tempt Genk into selling.
