“This Friday, the player will sign a contract with Barça for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2031, in a private ceremony at the FC Barcelona offices.”
Garcia, who returned from vacation earlier this week, announced his departure from Espanyol on Friday morning before Barcelona officially confirmed his arrival.
Widely regarded as one of La Liga’s standout goalkeepers last season, Garcia was Espanyol’s standout performer, playing a pivotal role in securing their top-flight status.
