Transfer news: Super Eagles star set to join Osimhen at Galatasaray

The 24-year-old has been a standout player for the Super Eagles at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, drawing significant attention from top clubs. 

His impressive performances, particularly a quick-fire brace against Uganda in the group stage, have intensified speculation about his future.

His first goal came in the 62nd minute from a Samuel Chukwueze assist and he found the net again just five minutes later, once again set up by the Fulham loanee to complete his brace. 

According to reports from Africafoot, Club Brugge and Galatasaray have agreed on a transfer fee for the dynamic midfielder. 

The Belgian club initially set an asking price of €25 million, but it is understood that the figure has been negotiated down to €23 million. 

With the negotiation still on, Galatasaray are expected to finalise the payment and complete the deal in the coming days.

Onyedika, a long-term target for the Istanbul-based club, is now poised to join fellow Nigerian star Victor Osimhen. 

Negotiations are reportedly underway for a four-year contract with an option for a one-year extension. 

The deal could see the former Midtjylland player earn an annual salary of approximately €1 million.

This performance appears to have convinced Galatasaray to finalise their long-standing interest in the player.
