Transfer News: Manchester City plot ₦120 Billion move for Eagles star to replace Julian Alvarez
Crystal Palace's talented midfielder, Eberechi Eze, has been strongly linked with a potential move to Manchester City, as the champions prepare to bid farewell to Julian Alvarez.
The Argentine World Cup winner is expected to complete a lucrative transfer to Atletico Madrid, worth a staggering 95 million euros, leaving a significant void in City's attack.
However, Pep Guardiola is not seeking a like-for-like replacement, and instead, is exploring alternative profiles to bolster his squad.
Eze to replace Alvarez at Man City?
According to Football Transfers, Eze has a gentleman's agreement with Crystal Palace, allowing him to depart the club if a substantial bid of around 60 million pounds is tabled.
Manchester City are reportedly willing to match this asking price, and Eze expects Palace to honor their agreement if personal terms with his new employers are agreed upon.
Eze's potential arrival would not only fill the gap left by Alvarez but also provide a suitable replacement for former captain Ilkay Gundogan, whose departure has left a void that Matheus Nunes has struggled to fill.
While Tottenham also hold a genuine interest in Eze, talks with Palace have stalled in recent weeks, leaving City in pole position.
Other reported alternatives include Wolves' winger Pedro Neto, West Ham's Kudus and in-house replacements Oscar Bobb and Phil Foden.
