Transfer News: Liverpool could lose €70m rated star to Real Madrid as Galactico era continues
Real Madrid are reportedly pushing to sign Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, either this summer or on a free transfer next June.
Alexander-Arnold has entered the final 12 months of his contract, and from January, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.
Could Trent Alexander-Arnold leave Liverpool?
While it's hard to imagine Alexander-Arnold leaving his boyhood club, the appeal of Real Madrid might be too great to resist, and the chance to play with the biggest football stars in the world could tempt him to make a move.

At 25, the England international is entering his prime and is currently the most valuable right-back in the world, worth €70 million according to Transfermarkt.
His potential availability on a free transfer would attract top European clubs, including clubs in England like Manchester City who are targeting a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
Should Liverpool fail to secure Alexander-Arnold on a new contract this summer, they'll face a tough decision: cash in to avoid losing him for free or risk keeping him and potentially losing him next summer.
What next for Liverpool?
Under new boss Arne Slot, the Reds have yet to make any significant additions to their squad, but incomings are expected over the next few weeks.
According to German outlet Bild, Liverpool are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong, and Borussia Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen.
All three players recently featured at Euro 2024, with Kimmich for host nation Germany and Frimpong and Malen for the Netherlands.
