Top of the Pops: NPFL's top 5 scoring teams

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, returns with excitement after an interesting first half of the season, with goals aplenty. 

Ahead of the second stanza and business end of the season, we’ve rounded up the top five scoring teams so far in the NPFL, and trust us, you won’t want to miss out of these goal-scoring machines.

Coming in hot at the top of our list is Remo Stars, who have been lighting up the NPFL with their attacking prowess. 

With an impressive 27 goals to their name, they're not only putting balls in the back of the net but also making a serious push for the title. 

Keep an eye on these Sky Blue stars; they're definitely a force to be reckoned with on and off the pitch!

Despite sitting eighth on the table, Rangers have been packing a punch in the goal-scoring department.

The Flying Antelopes have scored 26 goals so far, showing that they're not to be underestimated, especially following their much-anticipated return to the Cathedral. 

Could they climb up the ranks and make a late surge for the top? Only time will tell!

It's a tie for third place between Plateau United and Abia Warriors, both boasting a respectable 24 goals. 

While Plateau United currently sit sixth on the table, Abia Warriors are holding their own in the tenth spot. 

With both teams hungry for success, expect fireworks as they battle it out on the field!

Bayelsa United and Kano Pillars might have the same number of goals, but their fortunes couldn't be more different. 

Despite being a top-scoring side in the NPFL, United find themselves languishing in the nineteenth spot, while Pillars are making waves in fourth place. 

And with Bayelsa losing their top scorer, Robert Mizo, there could be trouble on the horizon for the South South team.

Rounding out our list are the Pride of Benue, Lobi Stars and Shooting Stars, both with 22 goals apiece. 

Lobi Stars currently lead the NPFL table, showing that they mean business this season despite a new home in Lafia. 

Meanwhile, Shooting Stars are holding their own in eleventh place, proving that they're a team to watch out for.
